Our Story
Huntington Home Candles® was founded in 2015 by candle enthusiasts and long-time friends Mark Huntington and Tanya Homes. As busy parents looking to unwind after chaotic days, Mark and Tanya discovered their mutual love for lighting candles at the end of each day. There was just something special about seeing the glow of a flame, inhaling the soothing scent, and feeling the day’s stresses melt away.
The pair quickly filled their homes with candles, trying every shape, size and fragrance they could find. But they struggled to find candles that perfectly balanced beautiful design, clean-burning soy wax, and luxurious scents. Every candle seemed to be lacking in one area or another – too overpowering or underwhelming in fragrance, too plain or impractically ornate in style, and rarely long-lasting without leaving behind soot or needing constant trimming.
Mark and Tanya saw an opportunity to create better candles – ones that checked every box. They believed that candles shouldn’t require sacrifice or compromise. They could be safe, eco-friendly, exquisitely designed, and filled with inviting, arousing scents.
In 2015, the two friends left their office jobs and poured their energy into launching Huntington Home Candles®. Based in Tampa, Florida, our small team of candle artisans continues to make each soy candle by hand, caring deeply about quality, creativity and responsibly sourced ingredients. It’s our passion and pleasure to help you fill your home with experiences, not just things.

We believe that candles shouldn’t just smell good and look elegant. They should be eco-friendly, clean-burning, safe and built to last. Our team pours our creativity into candle designs that are unique, expressive and bring joy. And we focus on lush, complex fragrances using only phthalate-free, responsibly sourced essential oils and botanical ingredients. No artificial dyes, fillers or chemicals go into our candles.

Our Candle Crafting Process
At Huntington Home Candles®, we go above and beyond to create candles you’ll love coming home to every day.
We use only soy wax – Our candles are hand-poured using the highest quality soy wax that offers a clean, long burn, and excellent fragrance throw. Soy wax is a renewable, sustainable resource that does not release harmful chemicals or smoke when burning.
Phthalate-free fragrances – All of our luxury candle scents are phthalate-free. We expertly blend essential oils and botanicals to craft complex, inviting fragrances that fill your space with sensory experiences. Our fragrances are subtle enough for sensitive noses, yet powerful enough to aromatherapy your space.
Cotton wicks – Each candle is outfitted with a natural cotton wick that provides a steady flame with minimal dripping, smoking or sooting. This means our candles burn nice and clean from top to bottom.
Unique vessel designs – We make an effort to seek out vessel shapes, styles, colors and decorations that feel special yet remain subtle enough to suit any style home decor. Our candles become functional pieces of art.
Hand-poured in small batches – Our team of artisans hand-pour our soy candles in small batches at our Florida workshop to achieve beautiful finishings and excellent burn quality. Mass-produced machines can never achieve the same care, precision and consistency as our hands can.
Endless testing + refining – Before ever offering a candle for sale online, we rigorously test our products for months on end, refining our wick sizes, wax blends, vessel styles, and fragrance mixes until they meet our uncompromising quality standards.

Wood Tree Candles
Our exclusive Wood Tree Candles are designed to mimic the natural beauty of wood grain. Each candle features textured “bark” on the outside of the vessel with delicate rings on the interior that mimic cut tree trunks. The neutral woodsy colors and designs allow these candles to complement any room of the house. We offer the Wood Tree Candles in a range of inviting nature-inspired scents like Cedarwood & Pine, Fresh Cut Rosewood and Birch & Balsam. The hand-poured soy wax fills your room with lush aroma for up to 50 hours of burn time.
Snow Globe Candles
These stunning frosted glass vessels are topped with intricate snowflake designs that circle the candle like a snow globe. Choose from festive scents like Twinkling Lights, Frosted Cranberry and Winter Woods that capture the coziness of the season. As the candle burns, flickering flames sparkle through the snowflake cutouts. We specially design these candles to complement winter holiday decor.
Retro Mason Jar Candles
Charm fills the room when you light one of our Retro Mason Jar Candles. These candles feature vintage-inspired labels in fun prints and scripts. The apothecary-style jars look gorgeous on mantles, countertops and tabletops while filling rooms with scents like Strawberry Jam, Honeysuckle and White Tea & Bergamot. The hand-poured soy wax guarantees a clean and consistent burn.
Marble Collection
Introduce a touch of timeless elegance with our Marble Collection Candles. These candles feature matte black vessels with gorgeously realistic faux white marble detailing that adds dimension and luxury. The neutral color palettes pair beautifully with any decor. We offer these candles in softly sophisticated scents like Creamy Vanilla, Warm Cashmere and Mediterranean Fig. Watch the flickering flames dance across the “marble” finish.
Metallic Finish Candles
Catch the light beautifully with our Metallic Finish Candles. These candles are dipped in shimmering metallic paints like champagne gold, rose gold, mercury silver and copper bronze. The tapered silhouettes come in a range of single color metallic finishes or two-toned combinations like Gold & White or Silver & Black. Pair with scents like Crushed Cedarwood and Wildflower Lavender for a candle that dazzles the senses.
Responsible Sourcing & Manufacturing
At Huntington Home Candles®, how we make our candles is just as important to us as the candles themselves. We aim to reduce our environmental impact and source our ingredients ethically at every step.
Soy wax – We use only U.S.-grown, pesticide-free, non-GMO soy wax. Soy plants release oxygen into the atmosphere and their cultivation returns nutrients to the soil. Compared to paraffin wax (a petroleum byproduct), soy wax is a renewable and biodegradable resource.
Cotton wicks – Our wicks are made from untreated, natural cotton that offers a clean burn and superior absorption for full fragrance throw. Cotton is biodegradable, renewable and compostable.
Essential oils – We use only 100% pure, natural essential oils, responsibly and ethically sourced from trusted suppliers. Essential oils are steam-distilled or cold-pressed from plants.
Glass vessels – Our candle vessels are made from recyclable glass, a sustainable material made from natural ingredients like sand. We source our glassware from U.S. suppliers.
Metal lids + labels – Our candle lid materials and decorative hang tags use recyclable metals and paper materials. Metal is infinitely recyclable without loss of quality.
Compostable packaging – We package orders in compostable/recyclable kraft paper and ship using biodegradable cornstarch-based foam that dissolve in water.
Hand-poured – By hand-pouring candles in small batches, we reduce energy consumption that large machinery would require. Our Tampa workshop aims for zero waste.
Giving Back
We believe business should be a force for good. That’s why we partner with charitable organizations and donate a portion of annual sales to causes close to our hearts.
Charitable Partners – We’re proud partners of the American Forest Foundation, Arbor Day Foundation, and forestry non-profits working to protect forests and plant more trees worldwide.
Forest Conservation Donations – We donate a portion of profits annually to forest conservation efforts that protect woodlands from deforestation and plant millions of trees each year. We also donate reclaimed wood from shipping crates to green building projects.
Local Community Support – We support LIFT Orlando, a neighborhood revitalization program that works to break the cycle of poverty through mixed-income housing and early childhood education.
Team Volunteer Days – We provide our employees with paid time off annually to volunteer together with local charities like Habitat for Humanity, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful environmental cleanup programs, and Feeding Tampa Bay food bank.
